Box Pushes and Swinging Pendulums

In Investigation 1, two students pushed on opposite sides of the same box on a smooth floor. Each student pushed against a force meter so the class could measure the push in newtons (N). The class recorded whether the box moved.

In Investigation 2, students made pendulums by tying a washer to strings of different lengths. They pulled each washer to the side, let go, and timed how long it took to make 10 complete swings (back and forth).

Each force meter measures how hard that student pushes, in newtons (N).
